Note the arty slo-mo effect on this waterfall shot - What do you mean it's
completely passe? Shut up, you know nothing about photography.
The beach we walked along on the final day of the track, lined by amazing
Nikau palms.
One of the many, wobbly, swing bridges we crossed on the track
The sunset over the beach, from the Heaphy hut on the last night
of the walk
Alex and Jo wandering off into the distance (After getting fed up of me fannying
about with the camera no doubt)
More Nikau & beach action from the final day of the track
Appallingly, most trampers thesedays have helicopters, so there is
little or no room left for tents on the track :o(
I'm sure i saw the Predator in there somewhere....
An odd Kiwi tradition seems to be to tie your boots /
other clothes to things when you've finished with them.
I've seen, shoe fences, bra fences and the Heaphy track
is no exception and has it's own used shoe pole.
Me having a kip on Whakariri beach. I though the shirt over
may head made me look like Lawrence of Arabia (Sand was
being blown all over the place), but this photo proves
otherwise.
Alex, the major "Local" attraction
Alex and Jo on Whakariri beach
Alex and Jo hanging about in the highly groovy garden of 'Shambala'
Shambala a hippy style retreat for backpackers. Note the poorly parked
Toyota Corona on the front lawn, which did upset Dave / 'Moon child' the
owner.
Some NZ sheep, yesterday. Oh, and a cabbage tree.
Me and my stick.
I was about to take a photo of one butterfly, when conveniently it's mate
turned up to make the picture even better :o)
Alex had a terrible limp, even before the Heaphy track ;o)
